Alameda in August - The Booth Concept

One of my Mother's oldest friends was such an inspiration to me when I was growing up. She had a beautiful home and a style that still influences my decorating decisions to this day. She also had three sons and one daughter, Holly. 

Holly and I have been friends all of our lives and we have always wanted to do an antique market together. After dreaming of doing "a booth" for too many years to mention, we are finally going to do one this August at "The Point" antiques market held in Alameda, California. We have decided to do a gold and black theme booth and have started to amass our stash. Here is a preview of some of the things we will have to offer ... enjoy.

French Nest Sunday

I fell in love with this shop years ago and have always admired the beautiful things I find whenever I visit the French Nest. The owner of the store, Holly, has exquisite taste, and a "belle' occhio" or beautiful eye for things that will feather your nest in a royal way. Some of you may remember her shop in San Anselmo, she is now in Sonoma on the square on East Napa street. Here are some of the lovely things she currently has in the shop. Enjoy ...

Sonoma is a very charming small town that always has something going on in the town square during the summer months.  An easy day trip from San Francisco and a very pleasant way to spend a summer's day.

Paris Fleas

My husband was in Paris last week and he had his marching orders ... take pictures of any flea markets you come across. He did, and brought back some Paris, Frenchie, girly things for me to list in my Etsy shop. He's a keeper that man of mine, gotta love him, fleas and all.

 OK, so he only took two pictures and they were of the same thing.  Next time I will be a little more explicit in my "marching orders"

Fleas For Mom

The annual Mother's Day flea was a blast, Panama hat and all !!! Friends who flea together stay together. Enjoy ...

 All these treasures were photographed at the Sacramento Flea Market that is held every Sunday all year long.  Wonderful vendors and a beautiful day made for great finds.
